Mr Chaib meets, in Cairo, with members of national community in Egypt

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, held on Tuesday, in Cairo, a meeting with the members of the Algerian community established in Egypt, a brotherly country.

This activity follows the continuous monitoring of implementing the conclusions culminating the meeting of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, with the members of the Algerian community during his visit to Egypt in January 2022.

On this occasion, the Secretary of State praised the Government's commitment to implementing presidential instructions aimed at protecting the national community abroad and promoting its participation in the national renewal.

The meeting, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, allowed the Secretary of State to inquire about the situation of our community established in Egypt and to listen to their concerns and aspirations.

He emphasized the major importance granted by the country's highest authorities to the citizens established abroad, within a renewed strategy based on participation, listening, and effective addressing of their needs and aspirations, in order to contribute to the economic development process of our country.

During this interactive discussion, diaspora representatives welcomed the organization of this meeting, which allowed them to be heard regarding their concerns and to present their visions and proposals about the role they can play in effectively contributing to the national development process.

They also praised the tangible efforts and decisions taken by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to better address their concerns.
